The parking restrictions for Cavendish Avenue and Baldock Way and the disabled parking bay on Baldock Way were approved today by the Cambridge Joint Area Traffic Committee.
Low-level fencing for the verges in the middle section of Baldock Way are already approved and will be installed soon.
Cllr Jenny Page-Croft was successful earlier this year in bidding for money to address parking problems in Gunhild Close. The Council has drawn up a plan for yellow lines at the top of the street where it meets Gunhild Way, and at the bottom of the street near the entrance to the park. You can view it Gunhild Close-1200-101, or if you’d like to see a printed copy, contact Jenny or myself.
There are also plans for converting the single yellow lines in Fendon Close to double yellow lines. Fendon Close-1200-101.
Do you have an idea for a highways improvement? If so, get in touch with me, Jennifer, George or Colin. It does not have to be to do with parking but could be any small highways improvement to make the roads or pavements safer and easier to use.
