PIBROCH is like fine wine — it adds a touch of class to any occasion, attracts myth and obsession, holds secrets to aficionados, and a small sip leaves a wonderful feeling. Barnaby Brown
There is a Celtic connection between classic bagpipe melodies and Rioja wine. That must be why the two are being offered together at a musical evening at Rock Road Library next month. The Friends have invited composer and pipes specialist Barnaby Brown to perform at the Library on 7th June. Barnaby has already proved a sensation at local ceilidhs, so this should be a good evening.
He will be singing Hebridean melodies and playing original compositions on northern triplepipes.
Tickets are available from the Friends by emailing [email protected]. £6, to include Rioja, or £5 for members.
7th June, 8-9.30pm, Rock Road Library
