The remodelled roundabout and crossings at Fendon Road are set to open this Friday, 31st July. The new road layout, based on roundabout designs in the Netherlands, has been created to address the accident record at this roundabout and to make it easier for pedestrians to cross the road.

The design is based on that of roundabouts in the Netherlands and changes the road user hierarchy. Pedestrians have priority over cyclists, and cyclists over motor traffic. You should give way accordingly, but slow down and make sure the other person is doing what they should.
